4.6 Mile Run to Honor George Floyd

          Sunday, June 21, 2020 - Virtual Event

On Sunday, June 21, 2020, we would like to see everyone run or walk 4.6 virtual miles to celebrate Mr. George Floyd.

On May 25, Minneapolis police officers arrested George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, after a convenience store employee called 911. Mr. Floyd, allegedly, purchased cigarettes with a counterfeit $20 bill. Seventeen minutes after the first squad car arrived at the scene, Mr. Floyd was unconscious and pinned beneath three police officers, showing no signs of life.

Mr. Floyd had 5 kids that will celebrate Father’s Day without their dad.

As we run and show grit, please keep yourself motivated on the positive changes that we can make, as a community. So that no other death is in vain.

          Remember, BLACK LIVES MATTER!

Once you have completed your virtual run or walk. Please upload your picture with #46forgeorge
